School-Wide Positive Behaviour School

Behaviour Of The Week Building Displays
School Wide Positive Behaviours is a framework that we are using to create positive, safe and supportive learning environments for all our students here at Donvale Primary School. We have created distinctive display areas within all buildings which reiterates that BOTW (Behaviour of the Week) that we are focussing on and also where our school value posters and expected behaviour posters can be seen and read by ours students. We use a whole school approach when explicitly teaching expected behaviours.
Behaviour of the Week (week 5 and week 6)
Our focus for the next two weeks (week 5 and week 6) are when students attend assembly; listening, sitting respectfully, singing the Australian National Anthem and our school song lyrics correctly with respect and pride. We will explicitly teach the lyrics of these songs and model expected behaviour whilst students are at assembly. Furthermore, there will be a screen up with the lyrics for those students who need extra support in remembering the lyrics.
By continuing our work with SWPBS, our school can foster a culture where students and teachers thrive.
Look out for next week's Behaviour of the Week (BOTW)
