CROSS COUNTRY 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

This week, our Foundation students had an exciting time participating in the Cross Country event. They showed great enthusiasm and resilience as they ran alongside their older buddies, cheering each other on and building wonderful connections across year levels. It was heartwarming to see such strong teamwork and encouragement! 

WRITING

In the classroom, our student have been working hard on writing sentences. Our focus has been on creating simple sentences that include both a noun (the who) and a verb (the what doing). 

Students have been learning the key building blocks of a great sentence:

• Starting with a capital letter
• Using spaces between each word
• Finishing with a full stop

We’ve been encouraging students to think about their ideas before writing, say their sentence out loud, and then write it down with care. It’s been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they start to independently craft their own sentences.
