Young Female Leaders Conference: St Kilda Football Club
Run by St Kilda AFLW players, including captain Hannah Priest, well done to our Grade 5 and 6 students who represented BBPS at this fantastic women in leadership opporutnity - Amelie, Amelia, Esme, and Maddy. Thanks to Josh Ancrum, for sourcing this initiative for our students.

Maddy and Esme: It was a great day, we got to work in pairs and design a new footy club - it was a chance for us to be creative and we had to think of the most out there, craziest ideas that would encourage people to join our football club. We created BB Big Fish - and had a beach theme to our program, such as beach footy with an inflatable ball, sponsorship from Hawaii. One message from the day was that when you lead others, think about what other people like, their interests and make it fun. This gave us lots of ideas for when we plan our lunch clubs.
SRC Harmony Day
Well done to our SRC students, who this week facilitated an activity with their class in recognition of Harmony Week.
Thanks to all students who wore a splash of orange, or their heritage cultural dress, today.
A report from Raffy and Taj: The SRC decided on different games for each year level, with the focus on creating positive relationships and bonds between students. All the games were from different countries around the world. The message of Harmony Day, that we hope students at BBPS take away from the week is that everyone should be nice to everyone, it doesn't matter what you look like or where you come from, what matters most is what is inside.

Grade 6 Lunch Clubs have begun - this is the first of many initiatives our Grade 6 leaders will facilitate across the year. Our Lunch Clubs aim to offer our students alternative activities to engage in each lunch time across P-6. These are particularly of value as we head towards the end of term, students are tired and opportunities for a more structured playground activity can support positive relationships.
Grade 6 students are supported to plan a series of sessions as part of their weekly Leadership engagement program, which has now begun.
