Careers at MSCW

  • Year 9 Morrisby Interviews continue - Mrs Martin will email relevant Year 9s advising scheduled date and time and this information is also communicated on Simon notices.
  • Headstart subject and program change requests – This is a busy time for Careers, so students wanting to make changes to their subjects and/or program for 2024 will need to make an appointment.
  • School leavers – students who intend on leaving school and have parent/guardian support to do so, are encouraged to make a Careers appointment (preferably with their parent/guardian). The College has a process to support the smooth transition of school leavers to their next step.
  • Individual student appointments continue – students can make these via the link on Simon using their school email and password.
  • Year 12s Results and Change of Preference – Mrs Martin will be available to assist students with post-school options and during the change of preference period (11-13 Dec). Year 12s seeking assistance following the receipt of their results are strongly encouraged to follow up with Mrs Martin in person on Monday 11, Tuesday 12 or Wednesday 12, Jericho 9.

Inspiring Young Women Dinner

On the evening of Wednesday 11 October, Year 10 students from Marist-Sion College attended the annual Inspiring Young Women Dinner event hosted by the BBLLLEN (Baw Baw Latrobe Local Learning & Employment Network). These students are considering careers as Researchers, Criminal Psychologists, Surgeons and Art Curators. Students had the opportunity to meet women from a variety of industries, professions, and sectors across Baw Baw Shire. These inspiring women shared their pathways, education, career moves and drive for social change. Students were able to ask them questions over a formal dinner with leaders and the guest speakers.

Special thanks to the team at the BBLLLEN, experienced guests and Camille Cabarubia and Lisa Harkin for supporting Isabel, Bronte, Sheridan, Kayla and Mandy to attend this event.
