Up Close and Personal

Michaela Patel

Students in Year 3 had an opportunity to try out our new digital microscope last week when we went on an Ecosystem Scavenger Hunt around our school. This simple, plug & play tool can be connected to a laptop and then used to take great close-up photos of small things. On our scavenger hunt, students looked at how living things were interacting with their environment.

The digital microscope will support our teachers and students across the whole school as they learn about life and the environment around us. Thanks to the amazing Bogan Bingo Fundraiser, we have been able to purchase these things and more. Keep an eye on the next newsletter to find out about the other exciting STEM resources.

Science Talent Search News

Our students have achieved great success in this year’s Science Talent Search. Hunter & Noah (Year 3), Jack & Adam (Year 2), Frankie & Juliet (Year 5), Oliver (Year 4) and Niah (Year 2) have all been recognised for their wonderful projects. We are waiting for their prizes to arrive, when they will be formally presented at Assembly. More details about their projects will be included in a future newsletter.
