Melbourne and Sydney Marathons

Congratulations to the CSPS students who participated in the Sydney & Melbourne Marathon Festivals.

“Maddox and I did the 3km at the Sydney & Melbourne Marathon Festivals. I loved going over the Sydney Harbour Bridge. We finished out the front of the Sydney Opera house. I liked the Sydney run the most and Maddox liked the Melbourne one the most. We raised money in Sydney for the Charlie Teo Foundation.” Maddox S (Year 2) & Ivana S (Year 3)

“I do something in the Melbourne Marathon Festival every year. This year I did the 10km in under one hour. The best part was finishing on the MCG. I will probably do the full marathon one day! I loved seeing tall buildings that I recognise in the city during my run. After I finished, I had chips and recovery milk.” Noah J (Year 3)

“I did the 5km and I did it in less than half an hour. We passed Flinders Street train station. I ran with my new head band and it made me run faster. I ran on the MCG and I saw my cousin when I was running. I loved running on the MCG and getting my medal.” Brodie J (Year 1)

“I did the 5km run. It was fun. My favourite part was running across the bridge towards the MCG. I enjoyed seeing a guy who was dressed up as a banana finish. After the run my family and I had pizza and ice-cream and I was proud of myself.” Eloise W (Year 4)

“I was proud of myself after doing the 3km. It was fun. The music was loud and the flames shot up. I got a good video of me walking into the MCG.” Leo I (Year 2)

“My favourite part of the run was seeing famous buildings in the city. This is my second year doing it. I did the 3km walk and I was cheering on Brodie when he ran past. I did it with my brother. I liked getting my medal and finishing on the MCG.” Harley I (Year 4)
