Principal's Message
Please take the time to read each page of our newsletter, as we provide you with information updates across each curriculum area.
As we publish this newsletter, we can't believe that our Year Six students only have 23 days of primary school left. We certainly plan on making the next month an exciting time for everyone!
Parents' Association 2024
In 2024, our Parents and Teacher Association will be rebranded as the "Parents' Association" with a focus upon providing;
- social opportunities for parents/families to interact beyond the classroom
- opportunities for parents/families to become involved in school events
- fundraising support for School Council initiatives
- support for Student Representative Council (SRC) initiatives
In the coming fortnight we will be sending a survey to all families seeking your input regarding future directions of the Parents Association. We are excited to hear from you, and can't wait for 2024.
2024 Staffing and School Structure
Each year as we enter November, there is excitement in staffrooms across all Victorian schools, as teachers and school leadership teams begin to plan for the following year.
As a school, we have recently completed the recruitment process to achieve a staffing structure required for our 2024 continuous improvement strategies. We will shortly be in a position to share the allocation of staff with our school community; which will accommodate a 13 class model of approximately 320 students.
Just like the photo of our school Principal on the giant swing at our recent Year Three/Four camp... as a staff collective we aim to inspire our students to reach new heights with their learning.
Celebrating student achievements beyond the school gates
We have the most amazing students at Upwey South Primary School, and quite often their brilliance extends beyond the boundaries of our school fence. With community sport, artistic endeavors and other events back in full-swing we are wanting to use our newsletter as another chance to celebrate the achievements of our students beyond the school gates.
