GREEN PROBLEM - Week 3:  

Zig-Zogs are mysterious creatures that are shy and do not like to be seen. Some Zig-Zogs are hairy and some are bald. They are either purple, pink or green.

 

Use the clues to find out how many of each kind of Zig-Zog I spotted yesterday:

  • More zig-zogs were green than purple or pink
  • There were just as many purple and hairy zig-zogs as purple and pink zig-zogs
  • There were a total of 15 zig-zogs
  • There were twice as many purple and hairy zig-zogs as pink and hairy zig-zogs
  • There were 4 purple and hairy zig-zogs
  • There were 3 times as many green zig-zogs as purple zig-zogs
  • The number of bald zig-zogs was double the number of hairy zig-zogs

RED PROBLEM - Week 3: 

Charlie’s garage has a rectangular floor space. The length is 3 times its width. 

 

Charlie extends the width of his garage to 6m, with a new floor area of 45 sqm.

What is the percentage increase in floor space after it has been extended?
