Bandanna Day
Bandanna Day is 'Canteen’s' iconic fundraiser to help young people impacted by cancer. On Wednesday, Pittwater House Junior School helped to fundraise for 'Canteen’s' face-to-face counselling and peer support programs.
Our students were very generous in their support, choosing to either 'Cover it', 'Colour it', or 'Cut it'. We wish to particularly express our admiration and gratitude to some of our Year 6 boys who shaved their heads. Their actions serve as motivating examples within our Pittwater House community to lead with courage and empathy.
Year 6 Canberra Excursion
Year 6 has started Term 4 in the best possible way - with a four day study tour of Canberra.
We explored the heart of Australia's capital, and it was an adventure like no other. From the grandeur of Parliament House, to the magic of The Mint, we soaked up history and culture.
We embraced our inner scientists at 'Questacon' and the CSIRO, marveled at famous art in the Australian Art Gallery, delved into our nation's stories at the National Museum, and channeled our inner athletes at the Institute of Sport.
But it wasn't just about the places; it was about the incredible friends who shared this journey. Laughter, inside jokes, and unforgettable memories made this final camp of primary school one for the books.
As we prepare to move on to the next chapter, let's cherish the bonds we've formed and the moments we've shared. Thank you, Canberra, for the memories that will last a lifetime!
