Children and Family Counselling at Marion Primary

 

Children and Family Counselling supports and strengthens family relationships, mental health and wellbeing.  Counselling can help with:

  • Feeling less stressed or worried about your children or family
  • Understanding what your child is feeling
  • Supporting your children with their emotions and life’s challenges
  • Being a calmer and more connected parent
  • Supporting children through change

This service is suitable for families with infants and children aged 0-12. Other family members can be involved if needed. Receive up to six ongoing sessions.

 

When:     Tuesday mornings, during school terms | 9.00am or 10.00am

Where:    Marion Primary School | 2-22 Malcolm Ave, Marion

 Cost:       First six sessions are free. Fees may apply after 6 sessions.

Community Connections Program

Community Connections aims to work alongside people to create new social connections that are meaningful to them and /or remove barriers to existing connections. Participants of the program will work with our program Team Leader across 12 weeks to help identify and articulate their connection goals and receive tailored support to achieve these. Support may include helping people to get involved in local community activities, find new support groups, meet their neighbours, volunteering or get some extra help at home to meet their connection goals.

People may be eligible for the program if they:- Live in South Australia- Are 18-64 years or 49 for First Nations People- Are not receiving NDIS or My Aged Care

 

This is a free service, funded by the Department of Human Services, provided by MarionLIFE and other program partners across South Australia. We welcome all people to enquire about the program, including First Nations people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Budget Support and Financial Counselling – Uniting Communities

A free Budget Support and Financial Counselling service is provided on site at MarionLIFE by Uniting Communities. If you have concerns about debt and managing your repayments, non-judgmental, qualified and experienced Financial Counsellors can support you with:

  • Negotiating with creditors to set up payment plans. 
  • Late payments, such as mortgages, rent, utilities council rate, school fees or other loans.  
  • Keeping your essential utilities connected. 
  • Buy Now Pay Later. 
  • Debt recovery and court action. 
  • Hardship arrangements. 
  • Consumer rights. 
  • Managing money and setting up a budget.  
  • Bankruptcy information and alternatives.
