Governing Council

Hello Para Vista Families and Friends

With only a few more weeks left of the 2023 school year, as well as the final year of primary school for my youngest child, I have been reflecting on all the years that I have spent at Para Vista Primary School and all that has happened during those years.

I have been lucky to have been involved in many aspects of the preschool and school environment in the 11 years that my children have attended PVPS.  There has been the changes in teaching staff, support staff and leadership as well as the multiple excursions, sports days, concerts, parent teacher interviews, volunteering in the classroom, working bees, fundraising events, graduations and the 50th anniversary celebration that I have been part of and enjoyed.

Being involved at Para Vista PS has provided me with a strong sense of community and belonging, particularly when I was a stay-at-home mum, and gave me the opportunity to connect with a wide range of amazing people, both adult and students.  I have been privileged to see many of the students learn and grow and I have no doubt they will turn into awesome adults who will achieve great things in the future.

A primary school may appear to be all about teaching our children, but it is also about community, connections and relationships and can provide us parents with another avenue to make a difference in our children’s lives before they grow up and become independent from us.

So, for those of you who are continuing at Para Vista next year and beyond, I recommend getting involved in whatever manner you can, so you can look back when your youngest reaches graduation age and know that both you and your child benefited from our great school communit.

Sincerely

Leanne Rehill
