K-3 and 5-6 enjoyed an engaging performance from Musica Viva in the form of a percussion extravaganza from the group Rhythm Works. This dynamic duo introduced us to a range of fabulous percussion instruments including the vibraphone and thunder drum and demonstrated different ways the 5 elements of music could be used to paint a musical picture (dynamics, pitch, duration, structure, tone colour). Lizards, road trains, carnivals and waterfalls were just some of the musical journeys they took us on.
SUNDAY 3 DECEMBER, 4PM – SAVE THE DATE
This term our choirs and orchestra students are presenting a traditional Christmas Carol service, with free admission to the public. We are hoping that this event will provide us the opportunity to spread a bit of Christmas cheer and also to foster links with the broader Orange community. Further information for students in Koristers, who are required for this event, will be emailed to families shortly. Please come along and celebrate the spirit of Christmas!
