Inclusion Action Team

Hello BNPS community,
We are excited to introduce our school’s Inclusion Action Team - a group of passionate students committed to making our school a place where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected.
The Inclusion Action Team is made up of students from across Grades 4, 5 and 6 who share a common goal: to celebrate diversity and promote kindness within our school community. We believe that every person deserves to feel like they belong, and we work together to help make that happen. This year, we are working to celebrate diversity, promote kind behaviour and make BNPS students, workers and carers feel safe and included at our school.
Throughout the year, our team will be involved in a range of initiatives and activities. These may include raising awareness about important issues, organising events that celebrate diversity, creating posters and displays around the school, and encouraging students to be active allies to one another. We also aim to give students a voice by listening to their ideas and concerns, and working with teachers to make positive changes.
Some of the key values we focus on are kindness, inclusive attitudes, and respecting ourselves and others. Inclusion matters because people need to feel safe, happy and respected at our school. We want to help build a school culture where differences are celebrated and everyone feels confident being themselves.
Keep an eye out for our upcoming events and activities. We’re looking forward to sharing our work with you and helping make our school an even more inclusive place!
Thank you for taking the time to recognise the importance of kindness and inclusion!
By Isla, Marley, Ev and Brontë, on behalf of the Inclusion Action Team.
