From the Principal's Desk

In the words of His Holiness Pope Francis,
“May the light of the Resurrection illuminate our minds and convert our hearts.” We pray: May the resurrection of Jesus continue to be a catalyst for renewal in the world transformed by the gift of God’s love and revealed to others through our living example. Alleluia!
We are People of the Resurrection
Jesus, God's Son, came to Earth to teach people about God's love. He healed the sick, helped the poor, and showed kindness to everyone.
But some people didn’t like what Jesus was doing. They didn’t believe He was the Son of God, so they had Him arrested and put on a cross where he died. His mother and friends were heartbroken. They placed His body in a tomb and rolled a big stone in front of it.
But that wasn’t the end of the story...
On the third day, something amazing happened! Jesus came back to life!
When some women went to the tomb early in the morning, they saw that the big stone was rolled away, and Jesus’ body was gone. An angel told them, “He is not here! He has risen, just like He said!”
Jesus appeared to His friends and followers. They were so happy to see Him alive again! He told them not to be afraid and reminded them that He would always be with them.
What does this mean for us?
Jesus' resurrection shows us that:
- God keeps His promises.
- Jesus is stronger than death.
We can have hope and joy because Jesus is alive!
It’s why we celebrate Easter – because Jesus is alive!
We are celebrating 'Resurrection Day' on Friday, May 1st beginning with a Whole School Mass at 9.30a.m. Everyone is welcome to join us.
Students will then participate in a fun, activity session in multi-age groups with Kaboom! Students should wear their sports uniform and runners on this day.
Celebrating 50 Years of Learning, Growth, and Community
This year marks a special milestone for our school as we proudly celebrate 50 years of education, connection, and community spirit. Since opening our doors in 1976, our school has been a place where generations of students have learned, grown, and created lasting memories.
Over the past five decades, we have seen incredible change and progress, but what has remained constant is our commitment to nurturing and supporting every learner, and fostering a strong sense of belonging. We are proud of the many achievements of our students, staff, and wider school community—past and present—who have all played a part in shaping the vibrant school we are today.
To honour this milestone, we will take time to reflect on our history, celebrate our successes, and look ahead to an exciting future as we recognise 50 years of learning, laughter, and lasting friendships.
