Welcome Back to Term 2

Welcome back to Term 2. I hope all families had a restful and enjoyable break. We are looking forward to another productive term of learning, connection and community at BEPS.

ANZAC Day Commemoration

We are proud to share that two of our student leaders Amy and Ethan recently attended Cenotaph in Box Hill Gardens to commemorate ANZAC Day. They represented our school with respect and maturity, honouring those who have served and sacrificed. It is always a special opportunity for our students to engage in such important community events.

Monday Assemblies 

A reminder that parents and carers are always welcome to attend our Monday assemblies at 9am in the COLA. These are a wonderful opportunity to celebrate student achievements, recognise learning and showcase the programs happening across our school.

Parking and Safety Around the School 

We ask all families to be mindful of parking regulations around the school. Please adhere to all signage and speed limits, and ensure that Kiss and Go zones, Highbury Road and the hall are used correctly and not for extended parking. These measures are in place to keep all members of our community safe, particularly during busy times.

Dogs on School Grounds 

Dogs are permitted on school grounds; however, they must be on a leash at all times. We also ask owners to be vigilant in ensuring dogs do not wander freely and that any waste is promptly collected. This helps maintain a safe and clean environment for our students.

Exciting Playground Addition – GaGa Pit 

We are excited to confirm that our much-anticipated GaGa Pit will be installed on 20th May. GaGa is a fast-paced, inclusive game played in an enclosed space, promoting active play, teamwork and fun for all students. We look forward to seeing this become a popular addition to our playground.

New Outdoor Pergolas

Ducon will soon begin construction of new pergolas on the oval side of the STEM building, as well as the Visual Arts alcove. These spaces will provide shaded outdoor areas for learning, eating and play, enhancing our school environment and offering more flexible spaces for students and staff.
