Using Data to Support Every Young Person's Learning
At St Joseph’s, we use a variety of assessment data and observations to better understand each young person's strengths, interests, and next steps for learning. This information helps us make informed decisions about our teaching so that every student is supported, challenged, and encouraged to reach their full potential. One of the ways we respond to this data is by designing targeted learning sprints. These short, focused learning cycles allow us to extend and deepen our young people's understanding by providing activities that are tailored to their individual needs and goals. Whether students are building confidence in a new skill or exploring concepts at a more advanced level, learning sprints ensure that every young person is engaged in meaningful and purposeful learning. By regularly reviewing student progress and adapting our teaching, we create opportunities for all learners to grow, celebrate success, and continue developing the skills they need to thrive.
