REC Message

Vinnies Winter Warmers Day
The classrooms are looking a lot warmer and cosier today as our young people rock their favourite beanies, scarves, and winter woollies! Thank you to everyone who brought in a non-perishable food item for the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal. Your generosity is keeping local families warm and supported this winter.
NAIDOC Day Liturgy
This week, our school community gathered for our NAIDOC Day Liturgy and celebration. It was a sacred time for us to listen, learn, and celebrate the rich history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We walk forward together in a spirit of reconciliation, respect, and deep gratitude for the land on which we learn and play.
Feast of St Peter and St Paul Mass
This past Monday, our school community gathered for a wonderful whole-school Mass to celebrate the Solemnity of St Peter and St Paul. It was a beautiful opportunity to reflect on these two pillars of the Church and think about how we can emulate their courage, leadership, and love in our own daily lives. Thank you to the Stage 1 team of skilled helpful adults who helped prepare such a reverent Mass.
Sacrament of First Reconciliation
Last Wednesday, our young people took a beautiful step in their faith journey by receiving the Sacrament of First Reconciliation. It was a deeply peaceful and reverent occasion focused on forgiveness, healing, and God’s unconditional love. We are incredibly proud of the prayerful way the children prepared for this sacrament, and we ask that you continue to keep them and their families in your prayers.
Catholic Schools Week
Earlier this term, we celebrated Catholic Schools Week with a fantastic, jam-packed schedule. Stage 3 travelled to Moree for a beautiful combined Mass to mark the occasion. On a separate day, we held our school celebration where each class put on a wonderful presentation, capped off with a delicious community cake. Even though it was pouring with rain during our campus celebrations, the wet weather couldn't dampen our incredible school spirit! Thank you to all the young people and skilled helpful adults who helped make it such a memorable week.
Stage 3 Service Program
Faith in Action! Our Stage 3 young people are continuing to make a difference through our Service Program. By living out our school values, they are discovering the joy of helping others and learning how small acts of kindness can build a stronger, more compassionate community. This term, they planted a new garden at the Presbytery, kept our school tidy, and supported younger children with their reading and sight-word skills. Keep an eye out for their amazing initiatives next term!
