Breakfast Club

BEPS Breakfast Club
A Great Start to Every Friday
Each Friday morning from 8:10 am to 8:40 am, the BEPS Breakfast Club offers a warm, friendly space for students to begin their school day feeling settled, nourished, and ready to learn. As students arrive at school, they are welcomed with a healthy breakfast and the chance to connect with friends, staff, and our wonderful parent helpers.
Our Breakfast Club provides a range of nutritious, Australia-grown or manufactured foods, including muesli, Vita Brits, wholegrain Cheerios, milk, baked beans, fruit cups, fresh fruit, bread, Vegemite, and honey. These simple, wholesome options help fuel students’ bodies and minds for the day ahead.
Breakfast is often called the most important meal of the day, and for good reason. A healthy breakfast supports concentration, energy levels, and overall wellbeing. Beyond nutrition, Breakfast Club also supports the development of important social and life skills, such as table manners, making positive choices about food, and building respectful relationships with peers and adults.
Breakfast Club is very much a community effort, and we warmly encourage parents and carers to get involved. Parent Helpers play a vital role by assisting with setting up, preparing and serving food, and helping with clean-up. It’s a wonderful way to support the Burwood East Primary School community while helping children start their day on a positive note.
If you are available to help with Breakfast Club on any Friday morning, please contact April at yea.white@education.vic.gov.au your support would be greatly appreciated.
Together, we are not only providing breakfast, but also fostering connection, confidence, and a strong sense of belonging for our students.
Kindest Regards,
April White
