Performing Arts Clubs and Upcoming Performances
As I am sure many families are aware, BEPS offers an excellent range of extracurricular clubs that run during recess and lunchtime. These clubs provide students with valuable opportunities to develop new skills, build confidence and enjoy making music with others.
For our younger students, the Junior Ukulele Club is open to all students in Years 1–3. This beginner-friendly group meets every Monday at recess, and students are welcome to come along regardless of their previous ukulele experience.
The Junior Choir meets every Tuesday at recess. This term, I am pleased to be opening the choir to Foundation students who would also like to participate. New members are welcome to attend two rehearsals to see whether they enjoy the experience. After this introductory period, students who wish to take part in assemblies and other performances will be expected to attend rehearsals regularly and make a weekly commitment to the group.
Please keep an eye on Compass for information about upcoming performances. During the term, I am also planning performance opportunities for the Expert Ukulele Group and the School Band, as well as presentations from different year levels showcasing the exciting learning taking place in Performing Arts classes.
I look forward to sharing plenty of wonderful music and performances with the BEPS community later in the term.
