Stand Up Project

In preparation for next week’s parent workshop, the 2026 SUP leaders attended a session with Maggie from the Stand Up Project, to work on their presentation and practise presenting. Maggie shared practical tips for enhancing their public speaking skills and helped the students to see the big picture of the presentation in its entirety.

It was impressive to see how prepared and dedicated our 2026 SUP leaders are, some had prepared their own cue cards and made further modifications to the scripts they have been working on. 

Some of our SUP leaders are understandably nervous about presenting to the BEPS parent community on Tuesday the 28th of July (Week 3, just after 9:00am in the hall) but were amazing at showing the school values of Confidence and Resilience in having a go. The support and encouragement the SUP leaders are giving each other is also a testament to the leadership skills our BEPS senior students have.

We hope to see as many BEPS parents, from Foundation to Year 6, at the parent workshop next week, where you will learn more about the Stand Up Project and how you as a parent can support your own child if they experience or are involved in friendship fires, mean on purpose or bullying (repeated, targeted mean on purpose behaviour).
