Semester 1 Highlights at the Delahey Campus
As Semester 1 draws to a close, it is an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the many achievements, experiences and successes that have made it such a positive and productive semester at the Delahey Campus. The wide range of learning opportunities, music performances, camps and community events throughout the semester have once again showcased the strength, spirit and connectedness of the school community.
Students across the campus have demonstrated commitment and resilience in completing a range of assessments, including SACs, while VCE students successfully undertook their Unit 1 examinations. The recent Assessment, Feedback and Reporting Day also provided staff with valuable time to review student progress and prepare reports for families.
The semester has also highlighted the outstanding work being undertaken within the VCE Vocational Major program. Year 12 students confidently presented their Mini Pathways projects, while Year 11 students continued to make steady progress with their Personal Development Skills (PDS) projects. These authentic learning experiences enable students to develop practical skills, build confidence and prepare for future education, training and employment pathways.
Another highlight was the annual Year 9 and 10 Information Nights, where students and families engaged thoughtfully in discussions about subject selections and future pathways. These evenings play an important role in supporting students to make informed decisions about their learning journey, and thanks are extended to the many staff members who contributed to their success.
As the semester comes to an end, sincere appreciation is extended to all staff for their dedication and commitment, to families for their ongoing support and partnership, and to students for the enthusiasm, effort and positivity they bring to campus each day.
Wishing all members of the Delahey Campus community a safe, restful and enjoyable holiday break. The semester ahead promises many more opportunities for learning, growth and success, and there is much to look forward to in Semester 2.
Unit 3 and 4 Students Complete the GAT

We extend our congratulations to all Unit 3 and 4 students who recently completed the General Achievement Test (GAT), administered by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority.
The GAT represents an important milestone in the senior secondary journey. Our students approached this assessment with focus, resilience, and determination, demonstrating a strong commitment to their learning. We are proud of the maturity and perseverance they have shown, as well as the effort they have invested in reaching this stage.
We wish all students every success for the remainder of the academic year and beyond.

Year 11 VM Students Strengthen Community Connections
As part of Unit 1, AOS2 – Community Project, Year 11 VM students visited a local aged care facility, where they engaged with residents through a range of social and recreational activities.

The initiative aimed to foster intergenerational connection, alleviate social isolation, and provide students with meaningful opportunities to develop their communication skills, empathy, and community engagement.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Mr Lanciana for his ongoing support and guidance throughout this valuable community project.

Year 9 and Year 10 Information Nights at Delahey
Our recent Year 9 and Year 10 Information Nights at Delahey provided valuable opportunities for students and parents to explore future pathways, gain important information, and begin planning for the years ahead.

The evenings featured school tours led by Campus Principals, Campus Leaders and Student Leaders, musical performances, and opportunities for families to meet staff and have their questions answered. These experiences gave students and parents a deeper insight into school life and the many opportunities available.
A sincere thank you to the Careers Pathways Team for their expertise, guidance and support across both evenings. The information shared will help students and families make informed decisions with confidence as they navigate key educational and career choices and commence exciting new chapters in their learning journeys.

Jetson Visits the Delahey Campus

Copperfield College was honoured to welcome Jetson, a humanoid robot from Brimbank Tech School, for an enriching visit that brought robotics, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies directly into the learning environment.
Throughout the day, Jetson engaged students across all campuses in meaningful and engaging learning experiences. At the junior campuses, Jetson spent recess and lunchtime in the school grounds, where students were able to observe and interact informally with the humanoid robot. These interactions generated strong interest and enthusiasm, sparking curiosity about robotics and AI.
At the Delahey Campus, Jetson participated in an interactive Q&A session with Year 11 Computing students. The discussion provided valuable insights into robotics, artificial intelligence, and humanoid technologies, encouraging students to ask thoughtful questions and consider the future of emerging technologies.
The visit was warmly received by both students and staff and reflected the College’s commitment to providing authentic, future-focused learning opportunities. By connecting students with real-world innovation, the experience inspired continued interest in robotics, artificial intelligence, and technological advancement.
Copperfield College extends its sincere appreciation to Brimbank Tech School for making this memorable experience possible. The visit of Jetson served as a powerful reminder of the transformative role that innovation can play in education and left a lasting impression on students and staff alike.

Be Bold Be Heard: Empowering Future Women Leaders

Be Bold Be Heard (BBBH) is a Victorian student leadership program empowering young women and middle-years students to build confidence, strengthen their voice, and lead positive change through summits, action planning, and mentorship.

Held on 26 May at the Delahey Campus, the event brought together St Albans students, Councillor Victoria Borg, and Copperfield College alumna Demi Djemal to share experiences and inspire leadership. Members of the Student Engagement and Wellbeing Team and campus principals facilitated workshops and shared personal stories, encouraging students to develop confidence and make meaningful contributions to their school communities.
The event celebrated the passion and potential of all participants, with the school community looking forward to future BBBH programs that continue to empower and inspire young women.

Students demonstrated strong communication, confidence, and reflection as they shared their individual pathways. The effort and preparation evident in each presentation highlight their growth and readiness for future study, training, or employment.
Well done to all students for their hard work and commitment.
Alumni Visits

Welcome back to alumni Mr Joe Tošić, Vice Principal of the Victorian School of Languages, who this term participated in LOTE Week by visiting classes at his former campus, Kings Park, and engaging with students across a range of language programs. His involvement provided students with valuable opportunities to reflect on their language learning and the importance of maintaining cultural and linguistic connections.

During Term 2, 2024 Captain Mia Chircop returned to the school to present to Year 12 Psychology classes alongside her former teacher, Lorenne Clarke. Mia shared insights from her studies and post-school experiences, contributing to class discussions and offering current students a meaningful perspective on the subject and its real-world applications.

Out of Uniform Day- Supporting State Schools Relief
A special thank you to our Student Leaders, whose enthusiasm, organisation, and dedication helped make the day such a success. Under the guidance of our Student Engagement and Wellbeing Coordinator, Patrick Constable, they worked tirelessly to promote the event and encourage participation across the school.
We would also like to acknowledge the many courageous students who stepped out of their comfort zones to take part in the fashion parade. Their confidence, creativity, and willingness to have fun brought smiles to everyone's faces and created a memorable highlight of the day. It was wonderful to see our school community come together, celebrate individuality, and support a worthy cause.
Thank you to all students, staff, and families who contributed to making the day such a positive and successful event. Your generosity and support will help make a meaningful difference through the work of State Schools' Relief.
