Welcome to Winter on Campus! It certainly has been a cold end to the semester.
Students and their families attended the Year 9 and 10 Pathways Information Evening on Wednesday 17th June. Students and their nominated counsellors will be discussing Pathways options in the coming months. Parents and families are invited to participate in these discussions that will culminate in Course Finalisation Days in August. Choosing subjects and deciding on Pathways options are exciting milestones for students and we encourage students to dream big and follow your passion.

Year 7 to 10 Exams took place during the first two weeks of June. Thank you to Kylie Brookshaw, Monika Thakur and James Inabinet for their development of the exam timetable, the informative assemblies held in the lead-up and their management of processes on the day of exams. Students are now well prepared for what to expect during the exam period. Students undertaking a VCE subject in their Year 10 program completed those exams at the Delahey Campus.
This year we held our Semester 1 Music Concert across two evenings (Wednesday 10th and Thursday 11th June) at the Bowery Theatre. This was another great opportunity for students to showcase their musical talents. Thank you to the Performing Arts Team for their support and hard work in preparing students for the evening.

The Campus has recently had an ‘influx’ of enrolments at all year levels. This includes international students and students from WELS (Western English Language School). WELS provides newly arrived students with their first experience of an Australian school. Students attend WELS for an intensive program in English Language prior to enrolment in a mainstream setting.
We are also busy working with primary school colleagues in supporting the transition of students from Grade 6 to Year 7. We will report on the collegiate activities planned at our next School Council Meeting. It is worth noting our Scholarships Program for 2027 Year 7 students have opened, with a steady influx of applications.
We were visited by several members of the Victorian Parliament on Friday 29th May. This included the Premier of Victoria, Jacinta Allen, Natalie Hutinson our local member for Sydenham and Uros Rasic the Labor Candidate for the Seat of Sydenham. Also in attendance was Paul Burke, CEO of the Les Twentyman Foundation. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to showcase the College's commitment to educational excellence and our ongoing focus on supporting young people. It highlighted the importance of strong partnerships between schools, government, and community organisations in fostering student engagement, wellbeing, and achievement.

The Breakfast Club continues to be well attended. The Club has been in operation for more than 17 years at the Kings Park Campus and more than 45 students each day. Thank you to Kerrie Young (General Office) and the Student Wellbeing Team for coordinating the Breakfast Club and providing a cooked breakfast for students at the Kings Park Campus.
There have been a number of events on the campus this term, including IDAHOBIT Day and Cultural Day (the later for State School Relief). IDAHOBIT Day is the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT). Copperfield College is proud to celebrate this annual day and embrace diversity within our school community. As a College we endeavour to foster supportive, safe, empowering and inclusive environments at each of our campuses.
We have established a partnership with ‘Smile Patrol’. Eligible students at each junior campus were offered free dental care checks and necessary general treatments. The checks took place a school during regular hours through a mobile dental service.
Brimbank Tech School visit to Kings Park
Tuesday 9/6
We hosted Jetson the humanoid robot at all campuses.
Below you will find images of him running or dancing around the Kings Park campus at recess.
From there he went to Delahey for a demonstration to the Year 11 Computing class and then to Sydenham for lunchtime with a campus tour.

We wish all our staff, students and families a restful enjoyable and safe term break.
