Weeks 9–10:

We finished the term with two of the most important wellbeing skills:

  • understanding your own emotions; and

  • genuinely caring about what others experience.

Students built their emotional vocabulary, mapped where emotions live in the body, practised strategies for managing big feelings, and explored empathy —what it really means to understand someone else’s experience.

At home:

  • Ask your child to name three emotions they felt this term and one strategy they use to manage hard feelings. It is a conversation that strengthens exactly the skills they have been practising.
