Year 3/4 Money Market

The Year 3/4 students recently celebrated their learning about money by creating and running their own classroom shops. They designed items to sell and took turns being both shopkeepers and customers.

As shopkeepers, students practised giving the correct change to their customers. As

 customers, they used their money skills to check that they received the right amount. This hands-on activity gave students a real-life opportunity to apply the money concepts they have been learning in class.

Students were highly engaged throughout the activity and embraced the challenge of buying and selling items. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they applied their maths skills in a fun and meaningful way.
