Year 8

On Thursday, 14 May, the Student Representative Council (SRC) hosted 115 Year 8 students in a Carnival themed social event.
Students raced through ten different activities ranging from indoor fishing to donut eating. Every time a student “won” at their activity they gained a ticket into the prize draw. We also played Male vs Female Pictionary, where the ladies were victorious.
A supper full of pizza and soft drink rounded out the evening before 20 lucky students won prizes for their efforts.
Here are some quotes from the students who attended:
"It was really fun and a great opportunity to socialise. My favourite activity was the donkey tail." - Kaithmaryl
"It was fun, I liked the food!" - Seb
"It was really enjoyable because of all of the games, but my favourite parts were the food and the prizes." - Zoie
The SRC would like to thank all members who attended on the evening, as well as the Year 9 Service volunteers and the many staff members who gave up their night to supervise.
Special thanks to Mrs Matchado and Ms Palmer for co-ordinating the event.
