Connecting with family and friends
Over recent weeks, we have been offering opportunities for the children’s grandparents or special visitors to come along and spend some time with them in their classroom at the ELC. This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to spend time with their visitors, show them around their classroom, talk about what they have been learning at the ELC, and introduce them to their friends and teachers.
Inviting grandparents and special visitors into the ELC programs offers numerous benefits that positively impact the children, grandparents, and the educational environment as a whole. This intergenerational interaction fosters a sense of community, enhances learning experiences, and strengthens family bonds.
These special events not only create cherished memories but also highlight the importance of family in a child’s educational journey. The ELC’s initiative to invite grandparents and special visitors fosters a sense of community and emphasises the invaluable role grandparents play in the lives of their grandchildren.
By having grandparents and special visitors spend time in the ELC programs, this creates a rich, supportive, and dynamic learning environment. These opportunities not only benefit the children but also enrich the lives of the grandparents, fostering a strong, intergenerational community.
We look forward to continuing to welcome grandparents and special visitors to our events over coming weeks.
