TRADES

Over the coming term Trades will have a range of industries visit the College. The purpose of the visits is to prepare and educate the students on apprenticeship opportunities and industry expectations of being successful when responding to the process. 

Trades Incursion - Alcoa Visit

This week Alcoa made a visit to advise students about the 2026 Apprenticeships intake. Alcoa was represented by previous Harvey Ag students, Hugh Walker and Jake Pich. Feedback from the ex-students was very positive and they are very happy with their career pathway at Alcoa. Apprenticeship opportunities at ALCOA open shortly.

Year 12 Rotation in Trades

The Year 12 cohort have commenced Semester 2 in the remaining Trade areas on Thursdays for the rest of the year. After school Metals Trade classes run on Thursday 4.15pm – 5.45pm to assist in the completion of large projects.
