Year 10 Ready, Set for Success Day
Last week our Year 10 students had the opportunity to participate in a range of activities as they prepare for the final Semester 1 Assessments and Exams. The sessions included Art Therapy – for Mental Health, cooking practical “Brain Food”, study strategies and Career Action Plans. Students were particularly engaged with the hands-on experiences, acknowledging the importance of the study and career advice. Their responses were most positive, and we believe it was an excellent opportunity for their Year 10 program.
We thank the Year 10 Home Group Teachers: Miss Yao, Mrs Robinson, Mr Razai, Mr Patience, Mrs Heijnen, Senior School Leader Dr. Lyristis, Art Therapist/councillor Madi for their support and presentations.
Student Reflections:
"It was a good experience that helped us to get ready and prepare for our year 10 exams."
"I really enjoyed the day because I got to cook which I haven't been able to do since year 8."
"It was useful."
I wish all Year 10 students the deserving success of exams, assessments, work experience and initial career planning.
