Year 10 & 11 Exams

Creating Futures Together

Important Notice: Year 10 & 11 Exam Schedule – June 18 to June 26

The Year 10 and 11 Exams enable students to practise essential exam-taking skills and allow both students and teachers to identify strengths and areas for improvement ahead of future assessment periods, including VCE. These exams form an important part of the learning and feedback process at WHSC.

Year 10 and Year 11 mid-year exams will be held from Tuesday, June 18 through to Wednesday, June 26. During this period, all regular Year 10 and 11 classes will be cancelled, and students are only required to attend school for their scheduled exams.

Each day will be structured into three exam sessions:

  • Session 1: 9:00 AM – 10:40 AM
  • Session 2: 11:15 AM – 12:55 PM
  • Session 3: 1:30 PM – 3:10 PM

All exams will run for a total of 100 minutes (unless advised otherwise by the classroom teacher), and students are expected to arrive at school 15 minutes prior to the commencement of their exam session.

Key Information:

  • The exam schedule has been provided to students via Microsoft Teams
  • Exams will be held in the Gym or in the rooms that have been listed as per the schedule.
  • Year 12 SACs and scheduled classes take priority over Year 11 exams. If a clash occurs, the Year 11 exam must be rescheduled.
  • Students must bring all necessary equipment for their exams, including: pens, pencils, rulers, highlighters, dictionaries, calculators (appropriately charged CAS calculators, if required), and any subject-specific materials authorised by their subject teacher.
  • Mobile phones and electronic devices should be left at home or securely stored in lockers for the duration of each exam. These items are not permitted in the exam room.

We encourage all students to check their schedules carefully and please notify Ms Wilson for any Year 10 exams that require rescheduling and Ms Anetoudis for any Year 11 exams that need rescheduling.

Kind regards,

Dr Michael Lyristis, Ms Jacinta Wilson and Ms Anna Anetoudis
