Creating Futures Together
Dear WHSC Community,
Reflecting on Semester 1 – Celebrating Learning, Growth and Opportunity
Semester 1 has been a time of immense learning, growth and connection at Wheelers Hill Secondary College. Across all year levels, students have worked hard in the classroom, embraced new challenges, and participated in a wide range of enriching opportunities beyond the curriculum.
We are particularly proud of the positive and respectful learning culture that continues to grow throughout our college. Staff have supported students through structured classroom routines, clear learning expectations, and a commitment to high-quality teaching and learning. Students, in turn, have shown resilience, curiosity and a willingness to strive for their best.
A standout highlight this semester was our College Production – High School Musical. Students across the school collaborated on stage and behind the scenes, showcasing incredible talent, dedication and teamwork. The energy and enthusiasm of the cast and crew were exceptional, and the production was a true celebration of the arts at WHSC. Congratulations once again to Nicholas Gramatakos and students.
Enrichment Through Extra-Curricular Opportunities
At WHSC, we are committed to offering students meaningful experiences beyond the classroom. This term, many students took part in extra-curricular activities that enriched their learning and supported their personal development.
These experiences form part of our broader commitment to developing the whole student and highlight the many pathways available at WHSC for students to connect, lead and learn.
Looking Ahead to Semester 2
As we now transition into Semester 2, it’s an ideal opportunity for students to reflect on their achievements so far and set new goals for the term ahead. The support of our dedicated teaching and support staff remains central to ensuring every student is empowered to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.
We thank all families for their ongoing support throughout the first two terms and with holidays fast approaching a chance to relax and come back energised for an amazing second half of the year.
Warm regards,
On behalf of the College Executive Team
