Science Night

WOW! What a great night we had at Science Night. Thank you to Mr Lytton for his organisation and preparation for the evenings activities.

We had about 25 families attend, adding up to approx 100 people altogether.

Due to its success, there will be another science Night next year.

This was a fabulous community event whereby student and families were experimenting and working together. It wasnt a very late night, so families got home in good time.

Concert - Thursday 4th September

I can hardly wait for our Concert night to be here and we are all sitting in the theatre of Pascoe Vale Girls secondary College.

Another whole school event to showcase another Specialist program we have on offer at PVNPS.

It is going to be awesome to watch with a roof over our heads of our kids singing and dancing and for some who have talking parts ' their acting'.

Please make sure you buy your tickets for all your family who will be sitting on a seat.

It will be also important that we acknowledge the hard work and enthusiasm of our Music and Performing Arts Teacher, Joel.

Thanks will also go out to our teachers and ES staff who have assisted with the concert in many ways from practising, making props, communications with families etc and their attendance after hours for the show to go on!

Please remember to buy your tickets !

Master Plan

We are very lucky to have two volunteer parents who are architects, Sim and Catherine, who have assisted our school to develop a Master Plan of all the improvements we would like to see happen at PVNPS for our school community. This list of improvements came from the students, staff and through past surveys of parent voice.

We are very near to completion of the initial documentation that we will be providing to both state and federal MPs, Anthony Cianflone and Peter Khalil. From their visit last term with our school leaders and school council representatives, this is what they required to see what ' they can do' for funding grants. We are aware that this process is long, but if we do not ask or continue our stand up for our school, we will not achieve anything - so here we go!

I will share some of our documentation once we have it finalised and ready to share; but this is the list of improvements we are asking for:

  1. Grassed Oval
  2. Running Track
  3. Soccer Goals
  4. New Flooring & Shelter For Basketball Courts
  5. Fixing The Sandpit
  6. New Nature Playground
  7. Upgrade of Years 3–6 Toilets
  8. A Makeover For Portables
  9. Digital Sign
  10. New Indoor Gymnasium
  11. Bike Shed Expansion
  12. New Fencing Around
  13. Gaga Ball Pit

Wish us luck and keep your fingers crossed!
