This Week At OOPS

This week in Prep, we have learnt the sounds /y/ and /z/, explored the idea of capacity and continued our learning about our community helpers. Our Discovery prompts were:
English: What words can you read?
Maths: How can you find out how much each container holds?
Collage: What can you create with the y-y-yarn?
Construction: What enclosures would you have at your zoo?
Dramatic Play: What do police officers help with?
Fine Motor: How do we cut a zig zags?
This week's Inspectors were Hugo (PNT), Levi (PMB), Oshana (PBF). All photos were what our inspectors captured in our Discovery sessions.
A huge thank you to one of our Grandparents and amazing volunteers, Helen, for knitting this beautiful, warm jumper for Ginger! We are so appreciative and Ginger is loving feeling so warm and cosy.
Year 5 and 6 students got their walking shoes on to head to the city for a Melbourne Multicultural Tour. Clocking up over 10,000 steps, we explored the waves of migration which have made Melbourne what it is today.
Our chickens are growing super quickly! They are gradually being introduced to the outside chicken coup and should be in there before the holidays. They are still loving their daily cuddles with our year 3 students.
