Performing Arts – Term 2 Review

What a fantastic term it has been in Performing Arts! This term, our focus has been firmly on preparations for our much-anticipated whole school musical production of Shrek Jr. 

The excitement has been building across the school as students have been busy learning lyrics and choreography for their class performance pieces, while also deepening their understanding of the plot, storyline, and the many colourful characters that bring the tale to life.

A special mention must go to our Year 5/6 students with lead roles, who have shown incredible commitment by attending regular lunchtime rehearsals. They’ve been working hard to memorise lines and develop their characters with unique voices, mannerisms, and personalities. Their dedication and creativity have been truly inspiring.

I am so incredibly proud of the way all students have embraced this production with enthusiasm, confidence, and teamwork. It’s been a joy to watch their talents shine, and I can’t wait to see it all come together on the stage!
