Celebrating progress in Physical Education
One of the highlights this year has been the enjoyment of our new shade over our courts, allowing our students to engage in physical activities regardless of the weather conditions. It's been wonderful to see our young ones taking full advantage of this, staying active and healthy come rain or shine!
Finding their feet in Foundation
Foundation students have been busy mastering fundamental movement patterns, including side galloping, jumping, hopping, and skipping. Most recently, they've been honing their skills in catching, throwing and basic ball skills. It's inspiring to witness their progress and enthusiasm for learning new skills.
Students shine with Netball SA Coaches
Year 1 and 2 students across both campuses have been fortunate to participate in multiple sessions with Netball SA. These sessions have provided valuable opportunities for our students to upskill in netball techniques and tactics. We're thrilled to see their confidence and abilities grow with each session.
Cross Country success at Bonython Park
In Week 10, we held our Cross Country Event at Bonython Park. It was a day filled with excitement and triumph as students tackled the track with determination. Many surprised themselves with their achievements, whether it was completing the race, overcoming nerves, or achieving personal best times. We're grateful for the opportunity to celebrate our Emmaus community and give thanks to God for a successful event.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to our dedicated staff and supportive community for making these experiences possible for our students.

Physical Education Teacher (Brooklyn Park)
This term Brooklyn Park students have been borrowing regularly with their classes and enjoying the space at lunch.
Earlier this term students celebrated Library Lovers’ Day where they contributed to the Library display, sharing what they love about the Library and reading.
Year 3/4 Library Monitors are doing an excellent job collecting returns from all classes and we appreciate their help!
Term 1 Holidays
Students are welcome to enjoy their borrowed books during Term 1 Holidays.
They are welcome to return and borrow new books over the next few days.
The holiday break is a great opportunity for Year 3-6 students to make progress on the Premier’s Reading Challenge. To find out if a book is on the list, please check here, and please continue to encourage your children in their reading.
If any Brooklyn Park families are looking for some different reading options in the holidays, please check out the Story Box Library. Story Box provides access to stories read by different storytellers along with corresponding activities.

Our Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day at Brooklyn Park saw a beautiful sea of loved ones fill the campus.
From Early Learning Centre to Year 6, we had classrooms full of special people doing activities like reading, painting, building, and looking at projects with our students.
This went on whilst the court area was enjoyed in community sharing stunning pastries and coffee together. A lovely day had by all!
