& Wellbeing

Louise Amor,  Shannon Argall, Liam Offer & Dan Garner

As we come closer to the end of term we want to say thanks to the students, staff and the parents but also remind you of a few things to finish off the term and to start the new term fresh.

Parent Teacher Interviews

This week sees parent teacher interviews. This is your chance to meet your child's teachers as well as discuss any potential issues or follow up attendance.

Uniform

At Horsham College the expectation is that all students will follow our uniform policy which is set by school council. This means that only plain white and navy blue long sleeves are to be worn underneath College uniform. Shoes are to be plain black. HC hats are to be worn in Terms 1 and 4. We ask that families support us in ensuring that your child is in correct uniform. If there are any issues, please contact your child’s year level co-ordinator or ask the student to submit a note to obtain a uniform pass. As the weather begins to change we please ask that you make sure that your child has the correct uniform.

Attendance

If your child is away from school for any reason can you please make sure you are calling the absence hotline or email Year level coordinators. This way we are able to follow up and put in the right supports to ensure that your child returns with the support needed.

SEQTA

As a school, we rely on SEQTA as our main college communication platform. We ask that all parents/guardians have an account and that this is checked regularly. Please contact the school if you have any issues with this platform.

Free Fruit Friday

This week we see our Year 12 Vocational Major students conduct a project on giving fruit away to students at recess and lunch. This is an initiative in conjunction with chaplaincy and the food bank to hand out food to students that may be in need but to also start the conversation about eating healthy. This serves as part of the curriculum for the students .

End of term

Term ends Thursday 28th of March at 2:30. We remind students that if they need any books for holiday study that they take books home throughout week 9 to ensure that they do not have to carry them all home on the last day of term. We do hope that students take the time to rest and recover from what has been a big and quick term.

Take Care,

Shannon, Liam, Louise and Dan
