 PBL

At SFS, our PBL (Positive behaviours for learning) school wide expectations are:

Respect,

Responsibility and

Kindness

The whole school has a PBL lesson on a Monday at 1pm. This week we have continued to focus on RESPONSIBILITY in the PLAYGROUND, Be safe (Keep my hands feet and objects to myself). The children have continued to practice being safe outside.

Here are some of our lucky PBL raffle winners from last Friday. It is wonderful to see so many children demonstrating our school values.

Harmony Day 2024

A big thanks to all the children, teachers and families who participated in the Harmony week Prayer service on Thursday morning. It was lovely to see so many children dressed in orange or in clothes to represent their cultural background. Thank you to the families for sending in their family photos to be a part of our slideshow. We are so proud of our diverse multi cultural school community. The children processed in flags which they had made in class to represent the cultural backgrounds of the SFS school community. The choir did an amazing job singing during the liturgy and finishing with the songs 'Hello to all the children of the world', 'My island home' and 'I am Australian'.

Child Safe standards

The Child Safe Standards aim to protect children and young people, by requiring organisations to put policies, procedures and processes in place to prevent and respond to abuse. They aim to make keeping children and young people safe. There are 11 standards.

Standard 2

Child safety is important to everyone at all levels in your organisation. You document how you find, avoid, and stop risks of child abuse or harm.

Child safety is always at the forefront of everything we do at SFS.

If you have any concerns about the wellbeing of your child, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will also be available to speak to Parents on the Parent Teacher interview afternoon evening in the last week of school. Please make a time to speak to me if you would like to discuss anything with me or require any support for your child.
