Principal's Report
Dear Families,
EASTER RAFFLE
The first fundraiser for the year is an Easter Raffle. Donations can be sent to the school. Proceeds from the raffle will go towards badminton equipment for the school. If you would like to purchase a ticket, they are available on QKr for $2 each. The raffle will be drawn next Thursday at the End of Term Assembly.
150 YEAR DRESS UP DAY
As away of celebrating 150 years of education we are having an “olden days school day” on Tuesday 16th April. (First Tuesday of Term 2.) Teachers will be planning a range of activities. Children are asked to come dressed in olden days costumes.
BIKE EDUCATION
On Tuesday 26th March, Grade 5 and 6 students will be participating in a bike education program. Students are asked to bring along their bike to school.
RoadSafeGoulburnValley (RSGV) has identified an opportunity to deliver a support program to raise awareness of risk, prevention and behaviour change around the “Share the Road” campaign.
Topics to be covered.
- Be visible—lights, bright clothing.
- Your bicycle---Is it the correct size, are the controls in good condition, do the brakes work?
- Bells, warning devices, reflectors, lights-- front and back.
- Bike maintenance
COLOURS DAY
On Wednesday 27th March, the JSC are holding a Colours Day to raise funs for the Good Friday Appeal. Students are asked to bring along a gold coin donation. Children are encouraged to dress in their favourite colour. School hats and shoes are to be worn.
THE CHILDREN'S FOOD BOWL FESTIVAL
What: Children's Food Bowl Festival - a free, outdoor event designed to educate children on healthy eating and to celebrate the local region that is the Goulburn Valley - The Food Bowl
When: Friday the 12th of April 2024
Time: 10AM - 2PM
Where: Shepparton Lake, north end
Cost: Free
The event will have a main stage, along with a vast array of local producers and growers, to showcase to our local children & families, the vast array of wonderful, nutritious and fresh food that we have access to.
AGM
On Monday 27th March, at 6pm we will be holding our AGM where the Annual Report will be presented. Following the AGM, we will hold the first meeting of our newly formed Council. Light refreshments will be provided.
END TERM ASSEMBLY
Our final assembly for the term will be on Thursday 28th March at 1.15pm. Weather permitting, this will be held in the Amphitheatre. Awards for the term will be presented and our Easter Raffle will be drawn.
