Year 12 Camp

The Year 12 camp at Lord Somers was an unforgettable experience for all the students involved because it was one of our last opportunities to spend time and bond together as a cohort.

The campsite being located by the beach provided the perfect backdrop for a range of exciting activities such as surfing and stand-up paddle boarding that required us to step out of our comfort zones.

We had the opportunity to catch some waves and experience the thrill of surfing regardless of our skills. The activities also allowed us to soak in the scenic backdrop of Lord Somers coastline as we glided across the water, taking in the sun and fresh air. By partaking in these exhilarating activities, not only did we become closer to one another, we were also able to experience things that we would not have otherwise considered trying.

One of the highlights of the camp was the talent show that we had to entertain ourselves by showcasing our musical, comedic, dance and magic abilities. During this we were able to celebrate and reflect on our growth and achievements from when we just started at Nossal in Year 9, to Year 12 as we progress to graduate.

Another one of the highlights was waking up early to watch the breathtaking sunrise on the beach. We gathered on the sand and watched as the sun emerged on the horizon, evoking a sense of gratitude and happiness.

None of this would have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our teachers who organized every aspect of the camp, ensuring that we had a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience. We are immensely grateful to them for their efforts in making the Year 12 camp at Lord Somers a truly unforgettable trip.
