Hello Kingswood Community!

As we wrap up the term, I find myself marvelling at how quickly time has flown. The garden has been a testament to nature's wonders and the students' hard work overflowing with an abundance of produce in the last month.

Our garden's bounty this term has been nothing short of miraculous. We've harvested squash, zucchini, potatoes, tomatoes, cucumbers, beans and pears in quantities and sizes that have truly inspired awe and wonder. Imagine zucchinis weighing 2.4kg and squashes at 1.1kg! These extraordinary veggies have also beautifully illustrated the Habit of Mind focused on finding awe and wonder in the world around us.

Have you seen our beautiful sunflower garden? Described by a student as a "forest of sunflowers," its towering presence has been met with gasps of amazement. Bringing cut sunflowers into each classroom allowed the beauty and awe of nature to be a part of our daily learning environment.

As we transition into the cooler embrace of autumn we aim to plant lettuce, beetroot, celery, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower and silver beet.

I encourage you all to take a moment to wander through our garden, witness the changes and find your own moments of wonderment and awe.

Happy Gardening.
