Physical Education

On Thursday February 29th, the Kingswood Swimming Team dove into action at the Noble Park Swimming Centre to proudly represent our school at the Mordialloc District Swimming Carnival. It was a fantastic day filled with fierce competition as our swimmers showcased their skills in both individual and relay events. We are thrilled to announce that, for the second consecutive year, Kingswood Primary School secured a top 4 finish in points among all 11 schools in the District! Congratulations to all our swimmers for their outstanding performance at the carnival.

In other sports news, our Year 3-4 students have embarked on their tennis clinics during PE time with Elevate Tennis. They have enthusiastically begun honing their forehand, backhand and volley techniques, while also focusing on agility to swiftly respond to their opponent's shots.

Meanwhile, our Prep students have been thoroughly enjoying their introduction to Physical Education this term. They have been learning about the essence of physical education (PE), along with essential rules and safety measures to ensure everyone's well-being and enjoyment. The curriculum has been centred around engaging locomotor games such as running, jumping, hopping and skipping, along with games involving dodging and tagging. Additionally, students have been mastering the under-arm throw technique.
