Colour Run

As you’re aware our colour run has been postponed until next term. This allows us to continue raising money for 5-6 weeks more than what we would have been able to. Please ensure that you have registered your child and that they are actively fundraising. There are some great prizes on offer as an incentive as well as some fun events at school as we reach our fundraising targets.

NAPLAN

NAPLAN started this week for our Year 3 and 5 students and will continue into next week, we have been impressed with the calm nature of the students as they undertake the National testing. 

Annual Reporting to Parents Meeting

On Tuesday the 19th March at 6pm in our staff room, we will hold our annual reporting to parents meeting where we table the annual report, discuss the achievements of the students and the school in the areas of learning, engagement and wellbeing and invite parents to ask questions. The annual report is then shared with the wider school community via the school website. This meeting is followed by the first meeting of our 2024 school council at 6.30pm, where we welcome new members, fill the positions such as president, treasurer etc and determine the subcommittees for the new year.

Connected To Community – Kinder Visits

We have completed our local kinder visits to Bespoke, Jacks Avenue and Marcus Road, where our year 6 students read picture story books and spoke about what primary school is like. We look forward to term 2 when the kinder students will be invited to visit us and play in our play spaces to build their familiarity with Kingswood Primary School.

Term 1 Attendance

At the end of this term, we will be analysing our attendance data. Families of any students who we have concerns about attendance patterns will be contacted by leadership early term 2. Early intervention with attendance issues and school refusal provides the most positive outcomes for students and their families. If you or your child are having issues please contact me as soon as possible so that we can put strategies in place.
