There is so much we have to be grateful for and sometimes we forget!
It is important to take a minute or two to just stop and reflect on what is going well and what are we grateful for because sometimes the lemons in life can be over sour and we can be blindsided.
I have been reflecting over this past week at what a wonderful school I get to come to work at everyday. It is amazing the dedication and enthusiasm I see from all my staff and the students to do their best. I love seeing their drive for improvement and their understanding of what being a learner means.
It is important that I thank Ms McAlister and Dimi for their leadership throughout the year with leading each of their portfolios of Learning and Wellbeing and ensuring we are achieving our Annual Implementation plans and goals. It has been a highly successful year, and I am always excited about the 'where to next!'
I also want to stop and appreciate the effort of the parents who give up a little spare time to be on school council, run the second hand uniform online sales, plans and attend working bees, assist with fundraising events throughout the year. The school would not be able to provide these community events if it wasn’t for parent to help out. Therefore if you have some time and can help out please look at the Community Engagement page to see if you can put your name down for something in 2025.
I would also like you all to look at our Specialist page this week - how wonderful is our Music and Performing Arts Program. Thank you to Joel for his ongoing efforts and amazing talent in this domain. I am looking forward to our CONCERT in 2025!
We are hoping to finalise our staffing profile by the end of next week. We will endeavour to communicate this with you our school community once we are certain there will be no other changes made.
We have spent many weeks ensuring our grades for 2025 have all considerations been met as much as possible. Unfortunately, please understand that we will not be making any further changes.
Thank you to our Theircare Program and our Trivia Night as we were able to fund the steps being built to the Mindfulness Garden. This is a beautiful space for quiet play and we are slowly opening this up for the students - we just need to ensure we have our positive expectations clear and transparent so the spaced is respected.
In these photos you will see some students enjoying the space with some activity tubs created for small group play.
