Makers Market Reflections
On Saturday 19th of October, our school grounds were buzzing with excitement as families, friends, and community members gathered for St Joseph's Makers Market!
The fresh scent of sausages sizzling on the barbecue filled the air, and the bright colours of stalls and handmade crafts made the day feel festive and inviting.
The market offered something for everyone, with a variety of stalls showcasing our community’s creativity. Visitors enjoyed browsing tables filled with unique, homemade items—from beautiful hand-printed cards and stylish, handmade clothing to fragrant candles and freshly cut flowers. The flower stall in particular was a colorful highlight.
While the wind did add a bit of excitement to the day, it couldn’t dampen the cheerful spirit of our makers and shoppers. In fact, it became part of the day’s charm, with a few hats blowing off and some stalls getting an extra bit of attention as people helped hold things down!
We’d like to extend a huge thank you to Fleur D'Altera ( Andre 1L) & Jess Purcell (Violet 1C) and all the other Grade 1 parent helpers as they did an exceptional job organising this day and creating a fantastic atmosphere.
We would also like to thank everyone who came out to support the market—students, families, teachers, and community members alike.
Your enthusiasm and support helped make the event a success.
