We have just purchased a universal swing for our primary playground to replace our tyre swing which has been very popular with many students. We are sure that this new swing will get plenty of use!
Our staff were very busy this week on Monday's curriculum day. Teachers reviewed student assessment tasks and worked on student end of year reports. Our Education Support staff completed professional learning, updated communication resources for students and worked on organising some of our curriculum supports and outdoor areas.
We look forward to seeing you as you come into school this week and next to meet with your child's classroom teacher for your child's Student Support Group meeting. We are working towards students being involved as much as possible in their SSG. This might mean that your child attends the meeting, or the teacher may share some work samples and photo or video of your child participating in different learning programs.
We also have a Student Voice visual tool which supports students to share their opinions and ideas about what they enjoy at school, what helps them to learn best and what their future aspirations might be. Your child's teacher may also share some information which your child has provided by using this tool.
Just a reminder that if your child is unwell, they should remain at home. We know that this can be challenging for parents but it is an important part of managing the spread of illnesses and ensuring both students and staff are healthy and able to attend school.
Thank you for your support. If you have any questions, you are welcome to contact Helen our school nurse for further information.
