Grade 3 & 4

Term 4 - Week 7

Grade 4's are excited to be heading to Portland next Wednesday for their three-day camp. Grade 3's will be heading off to Taylors Lake Wednesday morning for the Royal Life Saving session. Fingers crossed the weather will be nice to us!

Alongside learning about Australia's neighbouring countries and islands we have continued to also read text that connect to other countries around the world. Last week we began reading Mbobo Tree a mythical tale set in Africa. We made text-to-self, text-to-text, and text-to-world connections with the book, investigated and manipulated the author's words, looked at the landscape and landmarks of Africa, read about several of Africa's native animals, and connected two of them to the narrative we are currently writing.

All library books need to be returned next week. Please hunt around in the bedroom for any missing books so Mrs McCall can begin her stock take for the end of the year.

Homework will finish up this week with camp happening next week and the business December brings.
