Message from Leadership
Dear Families,
I would like to inform the school community that the Principal position has officially been advertised as of last week. An interview panel has been formed, and is dedicated to ensuring a thorough and thoughtful process in finding the right leader for our school.
The job advertisement will close on the 4th of November, after which the panel will carefully review all applications. Interviews will be conducted on a priority basis following the application closing date.
We appreciate your continued support during this important time of transition and will keep families updated as the process progresses.
Positive Behaviours for Learning
We are excited to share that our Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) pilot program has begun with great success!
Positive Behaviours for Learning is a whole-school framework that promotes a positive, supportive learning environment for all students. It focuses on teaching and reinforcing expected behaviours, helping students develop important social skills while creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive school community. Through PBL, we aim to support student wellbeing, engagement, and academic outcomes by fostering a culture where positive behaviour is recognized and celebrated.
Last week, we focused on the importance of using kind words and actions, which was embraced by students across all year levels. This week, our focus has been on keeping bodies and objects to ourselves, helping foster a safe and respectful environment for everyone.
We are pleased to see all students actively participating and applying these positive behaviours throughout the school. Their enthusiasm living these values have been wonderful to witness.
A special congratulations to Red House for earning the most raffle tickets this week for demonstrating our focus behaviour—well done!
Next week, we will turn our attention to developing a growth mindset as part of our resilience focus—encouraging students to embrace challenges, persevere through difficulties, and see mistakes as opportunities for learning.
As we wrap up this week, let’s remember the words of Mother Theresa "Together, we can accomplish great things." Wishing everyone a restful and enjoyable weekend.
Kind Regards,
Anushka Vaz
Acting Principal
