Concussion awareness

If your child is diagnosed with concussion by a doctor, it is imperative that: 

• Parents provide a Medical Certificate to the Health Centre stating the concussion diagnosis and when your child can return to school.
   
• The treating doctor should provide parents with gradual instructions for ‘returning to school’ and ‘returning to sport’. 
   
• When your child has been symptom-free for 14 days, the treating doctor should provide a Medical clearance certificate stating when your child can return to 'contact training and contact sport.'

Refer to your treating Doctor or College Health Centre if you are concerned.
