A Heartfelt Thank You – Refugee Food Drive Success!
Dear Ripponlea Community,
We are thrilled to share the incredible success of our Refugee Food Drive! Your generosity and compassion have made a tangible difference to families in need. Over the past term, the response from students, parents, and staff has been truly heartwarming.
Together, we collected an impressive range of essential items, including:
- Tuna, coconut milk, honey, and peanut butter
- Basmati rice, sweet and savoury biscuits
- Tinned vegetables, oil, dried fruits, and nuts
- Razors and deodorant
The contributions will be delivered by our enthusiastic Student Representative Council (SRC) members next Tuesday, who are eager to see the positive impact of your kindness firsthand. Through this experience, our students continue to develop empathy, social responsibility, and an understanding of how small acts of generosity can ripple through communities.
A special thank you to the SRC team for their hard work in organising, promoting, and managing this drive. They have shown remarkable leadership, ensuring that every item collected will reach those who need it most.
Children's Week Pyjama Day – Friday, October 25th
Get ready for a fun and cosy celebration! As part of Children's Week, the Student Wellbeing Team is excited to host a Pyjama Day on Friday, October 25th. Students are invited to skip the usual morning rush—just roll out of bed and come to school in their favourite pyjamas!
This special day encourages relaxation and promotes positive wellbeing while building a sense of community within the school. But don’t forget to follow SunSmart guidelines when picking your pyjamas—make sure your shoulders are covered (no singlets), so everyone stays safe and comfortable throughout the day.
We can't wait to see everyone in their PJs, enjoying a fun-filled day that celebrates the joy of being a kid.
Date: Friday, October 25th
What to wear: Pajamas (SunSmart-compliant)
Who: All students
Let’s make it a memorable day!
Note: Regular school shoes are still required for safety during playtime and activities.
