Bowerbird Blues

This week students across all year levels are delving into the book Bowerbird Blues by Aura Parker.  Students have started their own bowerbird picture incorperating a lot of different hues and textures of blue as they have the option to select from a lot of different mediums. Here are some pictures of their works in progress.

What Makes Mount Beauty Special Mural

During last term, our 5/6 Class was tasked with painting a new mural for our school. Nicole collaborated with our students in Hayley's 5/6 class and collated their ideas. Mountains, snow, the Kiewa River, bogong moths and our Autumn trees became the focal points.

Through freehand drawing and the use of stencils they have collectively created a mural that represents our valley. 

It's very close to completion, we just need the weather to clear up to do our final painting on it.
