Skiing continued this week, with Years 5/6 going downhill skiing on Tuesday and and Years 3/4 going cross-country skiing yesterday. Both groups had fantastic weather and skiing conditions. Many thanks to Steph for all her organisation and to our attending staff and volunteers, for enabling this to happen. By all accounts, everyone had a great day!
Wednesday, was also OSHC educator's day, and an opportunity to thank our OSHC team for all that they do. A big thank you to Kath and their team, for the support they provide to our students and their families.
Our Book Week celebration day is next Thursday 8th August! As part of our celebrations, during the day students will be participating in a range of multi-age book activities, and students in Years 3-6 will also have the chance to learn about Andy Griffith's new book series, through an online State Library presentation. Of course we will also be holding our annual book week parade! Students are encouraged to join in the fun and come dressed up as their favourite book character. Families are also invited to stay to watch the parade, which will be held shortly after 9am.
During the week, we will also be holding a BOOK SALE in the Multi-Purpose building on Wednesday afternoon: 3.30 - 5.00pm and Thursday afternoon: 3.30 - 4.00pm
The annual Parent/Carer Opinion survey is now open for all families to complete. Please assist our planning, by responding to this survey, which is being offered by the Department of Education. The survey is open until Friday 30th August. Please refer to the Compass notification that was sent home yesterday, for further information on how to complete the survey.
On Tuesday, 13th August, our school is supporting the campaign, 'Wear Red for Red Cross'. Students are encouraged to show their support to our Red Cross Volunteers by bringing a gold coin donation, and wearing something red.
If you haven't already done so, please ensure consent and payment for the snow programs and camps are completed asap, on Compass. If you require a payment plan for any of the above, please contact Joy, in the office.
The ski room will be open every Friday during Term 3 from 3.30-4.30 for weekend ski hire ($33 per set).
